Commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Transitus with the friars

In the evening on Oct. 3, Franciscans around the world will come together to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi, marking his passing from death to eternal life. The Franciscan Friars of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe invite you to join the Franciscan family for this special occasion.
In commemoration of the 8th centenary of the Transitus, Pope Leo XIV has decreed that Catholics who visit a Franciscan church can receive a plenary indulgence. The pope is calling the faithful to transform their lives and become “a model of holiness” in the example of St. Francis of Assisi.
